NEW CLASSES BEGIN MARCH 1ST

PRESCHOOL CHEER:

Beginner cheerleading class

 Athletes learn basic motions, jump approaches, simple dance skills, and beginner tumbling. 

 

What will they learn?

Motions: "High V", "T", "Low V", "Clap", "Clean"

Jumps: Jump Approach and body positions; tuck, pike, straddle(toe touch), straight, half turn jumps

Dance: Step Turn, Pointed Toes, Kicks

Tumbling, Adding movement to music and counting

Tumbling: Forward Rolls, Backward Rolls, Levers (Needle Kicks), Bridges, Tabletops, Handstands. Body Positions: Hollow Body, Arch, Tuck, Straight

Stunts: Floor level stunts and body position such as; liberty, arabesque, scale, heel stretch (extension), focusing on learning body awareness.

Athletes move through levels in cheer and tumbling Beginning at "Ground Zero"

Practice Days and Times

Sundays 11:30am-12:15pm

AGES 6-9 CHEER:

Beginner-Intermediate Cheerleading Class

Athletes learn basic motions, jump approaches, intermediate dance skills, and beginner and level one tumbling tumbling. 

 

What will they learn?

Motions: "High V", "T", "Low V", "Clap", "Clean"

Jumps: Jump Approach and body positions; tuck, pike, straddle(toe touch), straight, half turn jumps

Dance: Step Turn, Pointed Toes, Kicks

Tumbling, Adding movement to music and counting

AGES 9+ CHEER:

Intermediate- Advanced Cheerleading Class

Athletes learn to master jump, motion and dance timing, working on synchronicity, flexibility, and height of jumps, and building level two tumbling.

 

What will they learn?

Motions: "High V", "T", "Low V", "Clap", "Clean"

Jumps: Focusing on technique and height, combining multiple jumps

Dance: Increasing beats per minutes, adding tumbling into dancing

Tumbling: Roundoffs, Front Walkovers, Backwalkovers, Backhandsprings

Stunts: Waist to extended level stunts

Athletes move through levels in cheer and tumbling Beginning at "Ground Zero" working through Level One- Level Five

Practice Days and Times: Tuesdays 4:15-5:15

Cost: $49/month March - May

or $139/session

BEGINNER TUMBLING

This class is geared towards beginners of tumbling. This class will work on forward rolls, backward rolls, hand stands, cartwheels and bridges.

 

Practice Days and Times:  Thursdays 4:15-5:15 

March-May

$45/month or $130/session

 

 

LEVELS ONE AND TWO TUMBLING

Intermediate tumbling 

 

What will they learn?

Athletes will work through skill levels throughout the class. The class often breaks up to work on stations specific to the skills that the athletes are trying to master! Athletes must have a solid cartwheel and bridge to attend! 

Athletes will be working on back bend kickers, back walkovers, front walkovers, round offs, front handsprings and back handsprings.

Practice Days and Times: Mondays 4:00pm-5:00pm and Wednesdays 5:00pm-6:00pm

$43/month March - May

$45/month or $125/session

 

 LEVELS 3,4,5 TUMBLING:

Advanced tumbling 

 

What will they learn?

Athletes will work through skills to master and gain new heights. Athletes must have a standing back handspring. 

New skills to work on:

Back handspring step outs, aerials, roundoff back handsprings, round off back handspring back tucks, front tucks, back tucks, front aerials, layouts, twisting layouts. 

Practice Days and Times:

Mondays 7:00pm-8:00pm

Wednesdays 6:00pm-7:00pm
